Guilda Live Lookout Sessions
An “Extended Play” (EP) release of five songs performed live together with Benny Weill (Bass/Vocal) and Yoav Arbel (Drums/Vocal).
Since I released my solo album a year ago, I’ve had the urge to play the songs LIVE in the nature, (where most of the 12 songs were written). Becoming a dad over the last year definitely put my music output on the back-burner (although I've been writing more than ever). One of my favorite daddy-daughter experiences is that I get to begin every day with a hike (accompanied by Aura) in this magical forest called “Hamasrek Nature Reserve” in the Jerusalem Mountains. There's this stunning look-out point where you are able to see pretty much the entire length of the country so I got together with a bunch of very talented friends, hired a generator and played as many songs as we could as the sun set behind us.

Friday Feels
This is the first song release “Friday Feels” from the session. As well as feeling grateful for this nature in my life, I also feel very lucky to have so many talented friends on the team for this project...
Life before death
Here’s the second song from my “Guilda LIVE Lookout session”. It’s probably lyrically one of the more intense song I’ve ever written after going through intense physical loss, and the words came first (which is unusual for me). The concept felt so heavy that I felt that going the other extreme with the music would give it an almost satirical energy to it and that became the song “Life before death”.
Far too hard
Here is the 4th installment from my “Guilda LIVE Lookout Session”. I wrote this song “Far too Hard” which was inspired from a place of deep yearning to run away at a challenging time. I realized that a perhaps a more affective route than running away was actually staying exactly where I was (and of course, exactly where I was are supposed to be) - but changing and training my inner critic to be less hard on myself which of course made the reality feel much more comfortable to be around and digest.
Backporch Blues
The fifth and final song from Guilda's LIVE Lookout Session at a wonderful location I'm lucky enough to call my home. This song is perhaps lyrically the rawest on the record. It's relatively literal - I talk about the feeling of only having Guilda as my sole possession. I wrote this towards the end of the life/album journey and (as I try to express in the chorus that) when I was feeling blue, I took comfort in the fact that I knew I wasn't alone in my pain and that ultimately, (in this human experience) we are never fully alone in our suffering.
Lullaby Song
Here's the 3rd installment from my "Guilda LIVE Lookout Sessions"... "Lullaby Song". I wrote this after hearing someone's life story and whilst on the one hand she had some of the coolest/wildest stories I've ever heard, parts of her life experiences had left her in truly deep pain. "If your mind is hard-wired in the past, and your heart is overtired from beating' fast.... This song's for you..." I hope you guys enjoy it and it brings healing to someone somewhere. Love y'all xx
